I am an undergraduate student at the University of Iowa; I plan to complete my undergraduate degree by May 2025.

Bio

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Minneapolis, MN. I am working towards a Biochemistry & Molecular Biology B.S. and a psychology minor. I entered college as a biomedical engineering major, but after exposure to different coursework during my first year, I realized that my passion lay in the medical field. I have always been someone with a great deal of curiosity. As a child, I constantly forged for information about anything that piqued my interest. My natural curiosity about the life sciences eventually led me into the world of research and to be here at Dr. Mangalam’s lab. I plan on working with Dr. Mangalam’s lab through graduation and am excited for what’s to come! I aspire to become a Medical Doctor and serve socially, economically, and historically disadvantaged people. I desire to give back to my community and mentor disadvantaged youth. I have loved working in the lab, and thus, I aim to incorporate research into my future aspirations.
