I was born and raised in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. From there, I moved to Colorado Springs, CO where I completed my undergraduate degree at Colorado College. My interest in scientific research grew in Dr. Jennifer Garcia and Dr. Darrell Killian's labs, where I had the opportunity to work on developmental biology and epigenetics research projects. Now, I am back in the Midwest in Dr. Mangalam's lab. Here, I hope to continue to grow as a scientist and gain a better understanding of the influence of the gut microbiome on the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. Outside of the laboratory, I enjoy golfing, backpacking, and playing the cello.
